CFO Sue Vestri discusses critical financial management issues in clinical research

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA – December 5, 2017 – Greenphire, the global leader in financial technology for clinical trials, today launched a podcast series, Clinical Finance Optimized (CFO). Hosted by Greenphire’s Chief Financial Officer, Sue Vestri, the podcast will focus on financial management in clinical research, being responsive to clinical operations teams and the impact the finance team has on trial timelines and performance.

“Strong, trusting business partnerships with vendors and sites is critical to the success of clinical research,” said Sue Vestri. “My goal for this podcast is to help finance teams appreciate the impact they have on both the trial and business performance, as well as provide innovative and creative strategies for financial predictability and resource optimization.”

The first episode, “Building Your Finance Dream Team” addresses keeping up with the demands of the business and internal stakeholders without adding additional resources.

In addition to the podcast, Greenphire executives will continue discussing the critical role financial executives serve in clinical trials at CBI’s Clinical Trial Legal and Clinical Finance Management events taking place in Philadelphia this week.

Sue Vestri will co-present with Rob Roshkoff, Greenphire’s Corporate Counsel, at the Clinical Trial Legal and Contracting Forum on December 5th at 1:30 pm in a session on “How to Effectively Contract with Vendors without Slowing Down the Trial.” The session will explore how to avoid the key pitfalls that are often experienced when executing and negotiating a vendor contract so that the trial can remain on time and on budget.

Vestri is also scheduled to present a session on “The Finance Role in Your Trial: Thinking Beyond the Acronyms” at CBI’s Clinical Finance Management event. The program, scheduled for December 6th at 4 pm, will discuss how the finance role has evolved, how to build dynamic teams that think proactively, and why finance teams need to be involved at the ground level of the trial.
