Discussion to include leadership from the Society for Clinical Research Sites and results of nationwide survey of more than 500 research sites will be shared

King of Prussia, PA – April 27, 2016 – Greenphire, the global leader in clinical payment solutions, announced today that it will hold a live webinar titled, “A Better Way to Pay” on May 11th at 2pm EST.  During the event Christine Pierre, President of theSociety for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) and Kyle Cunningham, VP of Product Management from Greenphire, will have an engaging conversation related to how sponsors and CROs can improve site satisfaction through better reimbursement and payment processes.

“Successful sites deliver quality data while dedicating resources to improve the overall patient experience,” said Pierre. “In this webinar, we will explore how payment processes directly impact clinical trials and how this process can be streamlined to enhance both the site and patient experience.”

Cunningham will share the results of Greenphire’s 2016 Site Payment Study, which polled 534 research sites based in the U.S. to understand current payment processes, the level of satisfaction at research sites around receivables and the impact that reconciling payments from sponsors/CROs have on a site’s ability to conduct a clinical trial. The research sites surveyed include hospitals, universities, and private practices; respondents include investigators, nurses, coordinators, operations and finance personnel, project managers, and researchers, among others. Pierre will provide the site’s perspective to these topics and more.

A key take-away from the survey was the desire of sites for automation, as it revealed that 85 percent of the sites would prefer to work with CROs or sponsors that automate their payment processes. Also exposed from the survey, was preferred payment frequency – 80 percent of sites prefer to be paid monthly vs. quarterly. The study further provided insights on payment visibility, speed and flexibility.

“Participants in this webinar will gain a deeper understanding into the frustrations of manual payment processes from a diverse group of investigators,” said Jim Murphy, CEO of Greenphire. “Our hope is that sponsors and CROs walk away from this session with a better understanding of what sites feel is important and how payment processes fit into that equation.”

The webinar is targeted to clinical trial sponsors and CROs and all who register will receive an executive summary of the survey findings.
