Annual Awards Program Recognizes Outstanding Health & Medical Technology Products and Companies

Once the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Greenphire surveyed clients to understand their pain points and used this feedback to shift their solution set, resulting in several breakthrough innovations, including enhancements to their globally adopted solutions, ClinCard and ConneX.

Greenphire’s ClinCard payment automation software streamlines participant reimbursements and stipends, eliminating financial hurdles that may keep participants from remaining enrolled in a clinical trial. Clinical trial participants receive funds in real-time via a reloadable debit card or direct deposit (and now introducing virtual ClinCards). ClinCard incorporates automated (local language) notifications via email or text message, including payment status and visit reminders, ensuring participants remain engaged throughout the study.

In 2020, sites were able to use ClinCard to pay patients remotely for activities such as virtual visits as well as for completing at-home eDiaries, keeping patients engaged and studies on-track. In fact, Greenphire’s overall number of patient payments grew 27% in 2020, despite the challenges felt across the industry in conducting clinical trials during the pandemic.

ConneX is the most comprehensive travel solution in the industry and designed to meet the unique needs of global clinical trials. With in-country and local language support, ConneX provides peace of mind by ensuring all travel details are taken care of (plane, train, hotel, car).

In 2020, the usage of ConneX expanded to enable in-home care through the delivery of medicines / equipment and transportation of medical staff to the participant to ensure that the medically fragile didn’t risk COVID-19 exposure to go to trial visits.

Additionally, for those participants who still needed in-person visits, Greenphire’s global travel coordinators ensured that cars were sanitized and cross-border travel was possible. As mass transportation and taxis presented increased risk, Greenphire’s rideshare service has been able to provide sanitized rides for patients to get to visits or labs. This service grew 237% in 2020 alone.
