Earlier this month, we had the opportunity to attend the SCRS West Conference, an event focused on new thinking and collaborative problem-solving to power the partnerships clinical research sites need in 2024 and beyond. Our team had some really insightful discussions with industry leaders and site representatives, highlighting the urgent need for vendor platform system interoperability in clinical trials. Here’s some of the highlights…

The Need for Interoperability and Integration

A central theme at the conference was the need for different systems to communicate more seamlessly. Sites want systems to integrate where possible.  To support this, many vendors are implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) and integrating various technologies to streamline operations (and reduce “dual entry”).  A quote from one SCRS Site representative accentuated the future vision for this point: “If IT systems require that data entry must be entered twice, then taken together, the platforms are not optimally doing their job.”

Challenges Faced By Sites

How is Greenphire Addressing These Issues

At Greenphire, we are constantly engaging with sites through surveys and focus groups, listening to their feedback to ensure we innovate according to their needs. We aim to be a seamless part of the eClinical landscape, helping to simplify site operations and boost trial efficiency.

These insights from this year’s SCRS West Conference have reinforced our dedication to reducing administrative burdens and fostering interoperability. We will remain committed to helping shape a future where clinical research is streamlined, staff are more satisfied, and ultimately, patient care is prioritized.
