SCRS and Greenphire Partner to Study Site Payment Processes Around the World

December 05 2016

Ellicott City, MD, December 2, 2016 – The Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) and Greenphire have launched a research initiative to identify opportunities for optimization in global payment processes. The initiative includes a global site survey and a Site Advocacy Group – both exclusively focused on sites outside of the U.S. The findings from this project will be shared in a white paper authored by SCRS.

According to the SCRS Site Payment white paper (available here), sites based in the United States struggle with manual processes, late payments and limited visibility into financial transactions. This research initiative will look to see if these struggles exist globally and what pain points exist related to patient reimbursements.

“SCRS serves the global clinical research site community,” said Christine Pierre, President of SCRS. “Our partnerships with vendors that are committed to supporting sites allows us to better understand and advocate for the needs of our members around the world.”

“The adoption of our payment solutions resides in our ability to address the needs of research sites. Through this research initiative, we will gain broader insight into global site preferences – revealing areas of opportunity and improvement and ensuring we are delivering on the promise of payment automation,” said Jim Murphy, CEO of Greenphire. “SCRS has a unique combination of the network and brainpower to help fuel this initiative and we look forward to this successful collaboration.”
